More About Our Recovery House

  • Brotherhood

Members are all in this together! Therefore, it is important you do not isolate yourself. Each member must treat others with respect and enthusiasm for the mission we are all on together. Always be there for new members and help each other as best you can in a positive way. When these simple rules are met, the house will have a “spiritual buzz” that will inspire members and the home will operate at a positive level.

  • Anonymity

It is important to protect each member’s anonymity in the house. Your purpose in the house should not need to be promoted in the neighborhood and community. This is to protect the member of the house whose purpose there needs to remain anonymous.

  • House Meetings

At mandatory weekly house meetings, members and managers will meet so members can evaluate each other and the house as a whole, and every individual can give feedback. We ask that all members share where they are at in their 12 step program progress, as well as chores and behaviors. Assignment of chores and position rotation will be given and house fees will be collected at this time. The house fund balance and weekly shopping list will be established as well.

  • 12 Step Meetings

12 step meetings are mandatory. You are encouraged to go to as many as you want, however only 1 meeting per day counts toward your commitments of 4 per week. This means that meetings cannot be “stockpiled” into one or two days.

  • Aftercare

If you have been “recommended” to attend an aftercare program, such as continued counseling, groups, etc., this may be a requirement of your membership.

  • House Fund & Fines

The house fund is $10.00 per member per week and is for community items such as coffee, condiments, milk, etc. Fines will be collectively assessed by members evaluating each other on their assigned chore as well as each members cleanliness in living and common areas. Fines for failure to do a chore and doing a chore poorly that are collected go into the house fund.

  • Groceries

Each member is responsible for their own groceries. Be respectful of other members’ food items. Do NOT take these food items without permission. Each member will mark their own food items.

  • Probation & Parole Officers

Solutions Sober Living managers will share information with your probation or parole officer at their request – regarding both good or bad behavior reports. If relapse occurs, your eviction from the house will immediately follow.
